Choose the epic 50-mile challenge traversing open moorland above Todmorden and Old Town, or the formidable 30-mile route that still packs in the event's infamous "killer climbs." Fully embrace the local character with aid stations stocked with vegan-friendly fuel, including the legendary 5th checkpoint in Todmarden strategically placed between the climbs nicknamed "little bastard and big bastard." With a 17-hour cutoff for the 50-miler and a 10-hour limit for the 30-mile race, this is a serious test of endurance supported by strict cut-offs and mandatory kit for safety in remote terrain. Organized with a no-nonsense, community-focused ethos, the event starts and finishes at Heptonstall Bowling Club, where hot food and a well-earned drink await every finisher.
