Get ready to run Lap 2!

Get ready to feel the adrenaline at the Burnin’ Rubber 5K Run and Walk!

This thrilling event returns to the Owosso Speedway on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, with the green flag waving at 7:00 PM. This year's event has moved to July to better accommodate the NASCAR schedule. Race on a newly upgraded, lightning-fast flat course that starts and finishes right on the speedway itself. Experience the rare chance to compete alongside NASCAR star and Byron native Erik Jones, making this more than just a race—it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Specially designed finisher medals will be handed out as you receive the checkered flag! New this year, age group awards will be given to top three finishers in each run division for both the running and walking divisions.

New to the event - Kids aged 12 and under can participate for free! Adult supervision is required. There will also be a Kids Run at 11:00 AM that will be one lap around the Owosso Speedway track!

Proceeds from the race will support the Erik Jones Foundation, and with professional timing and results, every moment counts. Don’t miss out on this electrifying day of speed, community, and giving back!
