Building Athletes 4th Annual Trick-or-Trot

On Halloween morning, the community of Wintersmith comes alive with excitement as runners and families gather for Building Athletes' annual race. This year's edition takes place on Saturday, October 31st, offering both competitive athletes and fun-seekers an engaging experience.
Registration and packet pickup begin at 7:00 AM outside Wintersmith Lodge, giving participants ample time to prepare before the festivities start. Opening ceremonies kick off promptly at 8:30 AM with a celebratory atmosphere that sets the tone for the day's activities.
The main event is the 5K race which starts at 9:00 AM from in front of Wintersmith Lodge, winding through scenic routes that showcase the town’s charm and natural beauty. Just minutes after the start of the 5K, a one-mile fun run begins right behind it for those looking to enjoy a shorter distance while still capturing the spirit of the day.
Costume contests are held from 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM, encouraging participants to get creative and add an extra layer of fun to their race experience. Runners can expect vibrant costumes and playful antics along both routes as everyone celebrates in style.
The event aims not only to promote physical activity among youth but also to address financial barriers that might otherwise prevent children from participating in sports programs. By raising funds through the registration fees, Building Athletes supports its mission of providing equal opportunities for young athletes within their community.
Packet pickup is available on Friday, October 30th, between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM at a location to be announced later, or on race day from 7:00 AM until 8:15 AM. Participants are encouraged to pick up their packets early if possible.
T-shirts will not be guaranteed for those who register after October 15th, so it's best to sign up soon to secure this special keepsake of the event.
