Discover your perfect trail challenge at the **Brimbank Park Running Festival on Sunday, March 22, 2026**. Nestled in a picturesque river valley just 15 minutes north‑west of Melbourne, this community‑favourite event offers five distances— 5km, 10km, 21km, 42km, and 50km—ensuring a welcome for every member of the family. The course winds through wooded river trails, past open woodlands, and across a charming river crossing, with just enough gentle climb to keep things interesting. Whether you walk, run, or combine both, Brimbank Park delivers a day of achievement in a stunning natural setting.
Early bird pricing runs until January 7, with standard registration until March 4 and late entries open until race day. The 50km and 42km start at 8:00am, followed by the 21km at 9:00am, 10km at 10:00am and 5km at 11:00am. A compulsory check‑in and race briefing precede each start. The Team Challenge invites schools, clubs, and workplaces to compete for the most cumulative kilometres—one point per kilometre run. After your finish, enjoy coffee at Lumbar & Co. cafe while the kids explore the playscape. Every registration donates $1 to Canteen, supporting young people living with cancer. Join us as a runner, volunteer, or spectator—there's a place for everyone at Brimbank.

Melbourne is Australia's cultural capital and second biggest city, with Victorian-era architecture, extensive shopping, museums, galleries, theatres, and large parks and gardens. Many of its 5.2 million residents are both multicultural and sports-mad. The capital of the south-eastern state of Victoria, and located at the head of Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne is a magnet for migrants from all over the world, and consistently ranks as one of the world's most livable cities.
