Breakneck Point Trail Runs

Immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of New York's Hudson Highlands on May 8, 2027, with Red Newton Racing’s Breakneck Point Trail Run. This challenging course features historic estate paths and winding single-track trails that wind through pristine wilderness, offering breathtaking panoramic views of rivers and mountains at every turn.
The centerpiece is the steep and gnarly Breakneck Ridge climb, recognized as one of America's top hikes by Trails.com and Newsweek for its sheer beauty and technical difficulty. This signature ascent demands climbing skills, exposure tolerance, and sure-footedness along rocky stretches that are both physically demanding and visually stunning.
Whether you’re an elite trail runner or a casual hiker, the course caters to all levels of experience with sections ranging from gentle meanders through historic single-track paths to intense technical climbs. The race includes aid stations throughout its entirety, ensuring runners can focus on the scenery rather than logistics.
Registration grants access to post-race food courtesy of Fitnell Farms and an event t-shirt while supporting local conservation efforts by donating a portion of entry fees to Hudson Highlands State Park and New York-New Jersey Trail Conference.
The weekend also offers informal camping at Settlement Camp for those wishing to extend their adventure, with facilities on a first-come-first-served basis. Braving the elements alongside fellow adventurers makes this event more than just a race; it's an experience that leaves you knowing you've conquered one of North America’s most challenging trail courses.
