About the Event

Teams take turns at Ajinomoto Stadium in Chofu for this relay marathon, held in the off-season between marathon events. Running distance, number of turns and running order are left entirely to each team, so strong runners and complete beginners can share a squad. Nobody is obliged to run more than a single lap, and teams can decide who goes next once the race is under way. Half (21 km) and full (42 km) relay formats are offered for teams of 2 to 21 runners. The fee is 10,000 yen per team plus 3,000 yen per runner, and a team captain aged 20 or over must submit the entry. Elementary and junior high school pupils must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A company-versus-company division invites coworkers and their families, and a prize lottery gives every participant a chance to win, regardless of results.
