About the Event

Bright's Grove, Ontario. Lake Huron shoreline. The Bluewater Triathlon and Duathlon returns on Saturday, July 18, 2026, starting at 8:30 AM from Bright's Grove Public School (Hamilton Road). Choose Olympic or Sprint distances — triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, or team relay (2‑3 participants). Swim in Lake Huron (cool, clear water). Bike on rolling country roads. Run on flat, fast routes through Bright's Grove and along the lake.

Location — Bright's Grove, Lake Huron (Sarnia area):

Bright's Grove is a lakeside community on the southeastern shore of Lake Huron, just east of Sarnia, Ontario
Start/finish at Bright's Grove Public School (Hamilton Road)
Swim takes place in Lake Huron — typically cool (mid‑60s °F / 18‑20 °C) in July, wetsuit recommended
Bike course uses rolling country roads in Lambton County — scenic farmlands, woodlots, and lake views
Run course along the lake shore and through the residential streets of Bright's Grove — flat and fast

What's Included:

Chip timing (split times for each discipline)
Finisher medal
Event shirt (technical fabric — included with registration)
Post‑race food and refreshments (typically pizza, fruit, drinks)
Aid stations on run course (water, electrolyte, gels)
Aid stations on bike course (water, electrolyte — typically at 20 km mark)
Medical support on course
Transition area with bike racks and changing space

Team Relay Details:

Teams of 2 or 3 participants
Each team member completes one or two disciplines
Team captain registers and pays the team fee; members join for free using team password
Categories: male, female, mixed

Parking available at Bright's Grove Public School and surrounding streets (arrive early — limited spaces)
Transition area opens at 7:00 AM (check event website for exact times)
Bib pickup: race morning at transition area
Race start: 8:30 AM (likely mass start — check event website)

No dogs allowed at race venue
Wetsuit legal swim (Lake Huron water temperature typically 18‑20°C / 65‑68°F in July — wetsuits recommended but not mandatory for experienced swimmers)
