Blackburn FunRun 2026!

Experience the charm of Ottawa's vibrant community during the annual Blackburn FunRun, scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026. This year marks the 15th edition of this beloved race, which has grown significantly since its inaugural run in 2012 due to steadfast support from participants and locals alike.
The event features two engaging routes: a 1K funrun designed for all ages and abilities, and a more adventurous 2K cross-country course. The starting line will be established on the soccer field within the Blackburn FunFair fairgrounds, surrounded by the lively atmosphere of family-friendly activities that precede the race. This setup ensures an inclusive environment suitable for runners and walkers at any fitness level.
The 1K route invites participants to explore picturesque Gloucester Allotment Garden, offering scenic views and a gentle terrain perfect for leisurely strolls or brisk walks. Meanwhile, the 2K course provides both challenges and beauty as it weaves through the same garden before returning to the starting point. Clear signage guides runners throughout their journey, making navigation easy for marshals and spectators.
Weather conditions are anticipated to be comfortable with temperatures ranging from approximately 18°C to 24°C (64°F to 75°F), accompanied by a moderate UV index of 5.6 and some light wind. While there is potential for occasional showers, participants should check the forecast closer to race day.
Registration fees are CA$12 for both events, with on-site registration available at the fairgrounds starting from half an hour before each event's start time. Participants can also secure their spots by registering online until June 6th, 2025 through https://raceroster.com/events/2026/119067/blackburn-funrun-2026.
Bib pickup will be available at the same location from 8:30 AM onwards. Simply bring your ID and payment for any fees not paid online to claim your bib number.
