Bill Leonard Memorial Rig Rendezvous

On November 14, 2026, racers and their canine companions converge for an exhilarating day of competition at The Day race. Participants are required to attend the drivers meeting at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning before heading out onto the challenging course. Gates open early at 6:30 AM, allowing ample time for preparation.
The races kick off promptly at 9:00 AM with a variety of classes ranging from canicross and bikejor to scooter racing and rig events. Each class features unique challenges that test both human and canine agility and teamwork on the winding 2.5-mile course. Helmets are mandatory in all wheeled categories, ensuring safety for every participant.
Trophies await those who finish first through third in each division, celebrating the hard work of racers and their well-trained dogs. Juniors must have a parent present to participate and will compete alongside seasoned veterans in their designated classes. Spectators are invited to cheer from prime viewing spots near both start and finish lines, capturing memorable moments with cameras.
The event takes place outdoors regardless of weather conditions, so be sure to dress appropriately for the day's climate—rain gear included if needed. Sharing equipment between teams is not recommended due to tight scheduling but assistance in finding available gear will be provided upon request.
This family-friendly race offers a professional yet fun atmosphere where both newcomers and experienced athletes can gain valuable racing experience while adhering strictly to rules of good sportsmanship and animal welfare. Dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations, with proof required if requested by the Race Committee.
