Race morning is set for crisp autumn mornings with temperatures around 17°C, ideal conditions that create a picturesque setting. Early-morning sun bathes the park in golden light, making it an idyllic start to your run or walk. The course winds through scenic trails offering breathtaking views of Guelph Lake, beaches, camping grounds, and lush forests.
The race features diverse terrains—paved roads, gravel paths, and some grassy sections—that cater to all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, the 5K route takes you around Guelph Lake with manageable hills that are suitable for everyone. Families can enjoy this route; it's perfect for young children embarking on their running journey.
For those seeking more of a challenge, the 10K course includes hilly sections that will test your endurance while rewarding you with stunning lake views and beach vistas. The 26.2-mile Half Marathon offers an exhilarating experience around Guelph Lake's perimeter, mixing paved roads, gravel paths, and grassy sections. Natural landmarks such as the Guelph Lake Dam and surrounding farmlands enhance the course charm.
Registration is open for the 5K race with spots still available; early bird discounts are offered until September 1st. The registration fee for the 5K is CA$45.41, while the Half Marathon costs CA$77.77. Participants can pick up their bibs at the venue on Saturday, September 23rd from 10am to 6pm or Sunday, September 24th from 9am to 5pm.
