Big Elk XC, Endurance & E-bike MTB Race - Series Finals (MASS: Mid-Atlantic Super Series)
About the Event
Join us for the Big Elk Off-Road XC, Endurance & E-Bike Race at Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area on August 15th, 2026. This race marks the finale of the Mid-Atlantic Super Series (MASS) and promises an exhilarating day filled with challenging terrain and stunning scenery. The event will commence at 8:45 am for endurance racers, followed by professional and category 1 cyclists starting at 9:00 am after three laps. Category 2 and 3 participants will start their races at 11:15 am and 12:45 pm respectively, completing two and one lap courses. A new class has been added for e-bikers who can expect to start the race at 1:45 pm on a course that includes two laps. Arrive no earlier than 7:30 am as parking will not open until then. Registration closes 30 minutes prior to each event, ensuring everything is set up and ready for your arrival. Remember, all pre-registered racers must check in before the cutoff time; day-of registration fees are higher and cash only. The race venue is located at Fair Hill NRMA Parking Lot #4 on Gallaher Road (Elkton, MD 21921). A reminder: wrong parking lots can lead to a long walk. Make sure your GPS directs you to the GALLAHER ROAD area for correct entry. For those participating in the series, bring your 2026 MASS Number Plate if you've already picked it up at previous events this season; plates from 2025 cannot be reused. Volunteers are needed and can sign up on the registration page to help ensure a smooth event day. Results will be available online through Mid Atlantic Super Series, providing updates as they come in. This race is part of an exciting series that includes Fair Hill Spring Fever and other legendary events like Escape Granogue & Granogue Classic Rewind (RIP). The Big Elk Off-Road offers a family-friendly atmosphere with plenty to enjoy. Spectators are welcome; bring your camp chairs, cheer on the racers, or simply soak in the good vibes.
