Bewl 15 & 5 Mile

Bewl Water, located in the picturesque East Sussex countryside, is set to host the Bewl 15 & 5 mile races on Sunday, July 4, 2027. Organized by Wadhurst Runners and renowned for its stunning scenery and challenging terrain, this event offers runners a unique blend of natural beauty and competitive spirit.
The race features two routes: a grueling yet rewarding 15-mile course that winds through the serene landscapes around Bewl Water and quieter country lanes, and a shorter but equally scenic 5-mile trail run. Both courses are designed to cater to all levels of experience, from seasoned endurance runners to those new to off-road racing.
Runners can expect an enthusiastic atmosphere with supportive marshals along the way, enhancing the overall race experience. Upon crossing the finish line, participants will be greeted by a festive celebration complete with complimentary cakes and beer, as well as live music provided by a local brass band. This year's edition also includes bespoke medals for all finishers and commemorative t-shirts to mark their achievement.
The event is committed to giving back to the community through its support of the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSSAA), which provides critical services across rural areas in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.
