BERMEO-KO SAN MARTON II. HERRI LASTERKETA 8km

On November 14, 2026, the BERMEO-KO SAN MARTON II HERRI LASTERKETA will honor Katalin Zulueta with its inaugural edition. This heartfelt tribute celebrates the life of a young neighbor and athlete who recently passed away, leaving behind an inspiring legacy.
The race takes place in the heart of Bermeo’s historic district, winding through both new and old parts of town before heading out to explore scenic dirt trails along San Martin beach. The event features three distinct races:
- San Martintxo: A 150-meter dash for children at 11:00 AM.
- San Marton Txiki: A one-lap, 2-kilometer run for young participants born in or after 2013 starting at 11:05 AM.
- San Marton (chronometrada): An 8-kilometer race with four laps of 2 kilometers each beginning at 11:30 AM, offering a mix of asphalt and dirt terrain.
Participants in the main event can look forward to prizes including Arroyabe canned goods sets plus chorizo or morcilla for top male and female finishers. The day concludes with an awards ceremony that recognizes local sports heroes like Javi from FENOMENOAK saskibaloi, a basketball team dedicated to inclusivity.
Race registration is available online at Kronoak until all spots are filled; remaining entries can be secured on race day at the Kresala bar. All runners will receive a free gift bag and enjoy complimentary refreshments such as beer, snacks, and chorizo or morcilla pintxos in the finish line area.
This event promises to celebrate Bermeo’s rich athletic heritage while paying tribute to its inspiring community members like Katalin Zulueta.
