The Belgian Front Memorial Trail 2026 is a commemorative endurance event that follows the historic frontlines of the Great War in West Flanders. Scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, the flagship "Long Way" distance spans 100.9 km with a relatively flat elevation gain of 341 m. Starting from the Peace Village in Mesen, the route traverses significant WWI landmarks, including the Palingbeek trenches, Polygon Wood, and the Tyne Cot Cemetery, before reaching the marshlands of De Blankaart and finishing at the historic Grand Market in Diksmuide.

The Westhoek region, where the race is held, is a historic area in West Flanders characterized by its low-lying polders and agricultural tradition. Diksmuide, the primary finish hub, has a population of approximately 17,000 residents. The region was almost entirely destroyed during the Great War and was meticulously rebuilt in the traditional style.
