About the Event

Immerse yourself in the exhilarating spirit of endurance running at the Battle Of Stamford Bridge Run, taking place in Northampton. This unique 6-hour challenge offers runners and walkers alike an opportunity to test their limits on a scenic course that loops around public footpaths.
The race route features laps measuring approximately 4.37 miles each, allowing participants to aim for various distances including 5k, 10k, half marathon (21.9 km), full marathon (43.8 km), and ultra-marathon lengths by completing multiple circuits within the time limit. The course is designed with a health and safety review in mind, ensuring that any necessary adjustments are made prior to race day.
Registration opens at 8:30 am for those eager to begin their journey, with the official start set for 9:00 am sharp. Participants can complete as many laps as possible until just before the final hour mark (5:59 pm), allowing ample time to finish within or even beyond the six-hour window.
Upon crossing the finish line, all competitors will receive a specially designed Battle Of Stamford Bridge medal and a goody bag filled with essential items for their efforts. Aid stations are strategically placed at the end of each lap, providing water, squash, fizzy drinks, and an array of snacks to keep runners fueled throughout the event.
The venue offers accessible toilet facilities but lacks dedicated changing rooms or showers. For those who need it, there is a secure area near the start/finish line where participants can leave their bags during the race without worry.

This run adheres strictly to UKA Athletics rules under TRA licensing, making it a safe and regulated environment. Additionally, age-specific distance guidelines ensure that runners of all ages can participate safely:
- Ages 12-13 years: up to 5000m
- Ages 14-15 years: up to 6000m
- Age 16+: no upper limit
