On August 29th, Bärgüf invites runners and cyclists alike to unite against cancer through an inspiring journey from Stalden via Törbel to Moosalp. This unique event not only offers breathtaking mountain scenery but also a strong sense of community support for those affected by cancer and their loved ones.
Participants will face the challenge of conquering 1,200 meters in elevation gain over 16 hairpin bends along an exhilarating traffic-free route that spans 15.3 kilometers with an average gradient of 8.1%. The course is designed to test endurance while fostering a spirit of camaraderie among all who take part.
The entry fee of CHF 150 includes essential race gear such as personalized timing chips and cycling kits for cyclists, along with event T-shirts, trousers, and socks for runners. Cyclists will receive full cycling attire to ensure comfort during the challenging climb. The official start time is set at 5:00 am in a lantern ride that sets an inspiring mood for the day ahead.
Participants are encouraged to contribute donations according to their personal means towards the event's fundraising goal of CHF 1,000 per person. This initiative aims to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and support services within the community.
