Join us on October 4, 2026, for the Bangor City 10K and Half Marathon, an exhilarating race that combines coastal beauty with woodland charm. Starting and finishing in the heart of Bangor’s city center, this event offers runners a unique blend of urban energy and natural splendor.
The route begins at Deiniol Shopping Centre and takes you along the picturesque Garth Pier over the Menai Straits, offering stunning views of Anglesey and Snowdonia. After crossing the straits, participants will navigate through lush woodland trails filled with autumn hues before returning to the bustling city center for a memorable finish.
Race Details:
- Start Time: Both races begin at 10am.

- Entry Fee Promise: We commit to offering fair and competitive entry fees, ensuring that all runners can participate without financial strain.
All participants will receive a high-quality bespoke medal and technical T-shirt upon completion of the race.
Course Highlights:
The course features mandatory cut-off times designed to ensure safety and maintain order on the route. Runners must complete each mile within 15 minutes, with elimination after the third mile for those who fall behind this pace.
Runners will encounter drink stations approximately every three miles along the way, ensuring that hydration is easily accessible throughout their journey. The finish line also offers a final water station to replenish post-race.
Race Day Logistics:
- Parking: While there’s no official parking provided, pay-and-display options are available in and around Bangor's city center.

- Baggage Area: A designated area will be set up near the start/finish line for runners who wish to leave a small bag during the race. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
Post-Race Celebrations:
After crossing the finish line, participants can collect their medals and T-shirts at the awards tent. Prize presentations will take place around 11am for the 10K runners and noon for Half Marathon competitors, honoring top male and female overall winners as well as age category champions.
Additional Information:
- First Aid: Professional medical teams will be stationed along the course to provide assistance if needed.

- Headphones Policy: For safety reasons, headphones are not allowed during this race. Only bone-conducting headphones are permitted in accordance with UK Athletics rules.
Participants should adhere strictly to instructions from marshals and follow all road signs while respecting local residents by disposing of litter responsibly at designated stations or handing it over to the nearest marshal.
