BAMBURGH CASTLE WILD 10KM TRAIL RUN

Breathe in the rugged beauty of Northumberland as you lace up for the inaugural Bamburgh Castle Wild 10km Trail Run, set to take place alongside the castle's iconic Sprint and Standard Duathlons. This scenic route offers a mix of coastal paths and woodland trails around historic Bamburgh Castle.
The run starts at Links Road Car Park in Bamburgh (NE69 7AX), where you'll be greeted by panoramic views stretching across the Northumberland coastline, dotted with rolling hills and golden beaches. The trail is designed to cater to runners of all fitness levels, providing a challenging yet rewarding experience as you navigate through diverse terrain.
While specific details about the route are still being finalized, participants can expect an exhilarating journey that showcases both natural beauty and historical landmarks. Live chip timing by Timing Up North ensures accurate results for every finisher who will receive a commemorative medal upon crossing the line.
In addition to the race itself, there's also an exclusive event t-shirt available for purchase during registration at £14. The finish area offers refreshments including snacks and drinks, perfect for rehydrating after your run. This family-friendly event even welcomes canicross runners with one controlled dog per participant allowed on the course.
Parking is available on-site for a nominal fee of £4 (cash or card), though participants are encouraged to carpool, walk, or cycle if possible due to limited space.
