Join us for an unforgettable experience on Sunday morning, October 12, 2025, amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta! As hot air balloons ascend gracefully into the sky above the Rio Grande River and the majestic Sandia Mountains provide a stunning backdrop, you'll have the opportunity to embark on a thrilling race along the scenic Bosque Rio Grande.

Whether you're up for the challenge of the 10-mile race or prefer the spirited pace of the 5K, there's something for everyone at this iconic event. And as a token of our appreciation, every participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt and an awesome balloon-shaped medal to cherish this momentous occasion.

So lace up your running shoes, embrace the excitement of the balloon fiesta, and join us for a race you won't soon forget.

To get you even more excited, we will have 2-time Olympian (Tokyo and Paris) lead the warm-up right before the start.

Age group medals will be awared 3 deep in both male and female for both races as well as overall awards.

The best costume in hot-air balloon-themed will receive a prize!

10-mile race starts at: 7:00 AM
5K race starts at: 7:30 AM
Awards ceremony at: 9:00 AM

AID STATIONS

H20 stations are provided at approx:

1mile, 5miles, and 9miles with energy gels at the 5mile turnaround for 10mile participants.
