ATW Welwyn Half Marathon & 10k

On October 3, 2027, runners of all levels will gather at Gosling Sports Park for the Welwyn Half Marathon and 10k. The race begins with a lively warm-up led by personal trainers before participants take off from the impressive 400m athletics track.
The half marathon route ventures through Welwyn's leafy outskirts and follows the serene Cole Green Way, a converted disused railway line that offers a peaceful traffic-free path. Runners will loop back to this scenic stretch for an inspiring finish lap around Gosling Sports Park’s stadium track.
Joining the main event is the 10k race, which shares its initial 5km with the half marathon before branching off on its own route and returning to the park for a memorable conclusion. Both races are professionally timed by Event Chip Timing, ensuring accuracy throughout.
The atmosphere at Welwyn Half Marathon and 10k is electric, with family-friendly amenities such as food stalls from quality caterers and a free fun run for children that takes place just before the main event. A professional commentator welcomes runners across the finish line, adding to the festive mood.
Each participant will receive a custom-designed medal upon completion of their race, along with complimentary race photos and snacks at the finish area. The event is licensed by UK Athletics, guaranteeing high standards in organization and safety.
Runners return year after year for the welcoming atmosphere, well-marked course, and supportive volunteers who encourage every step of the way. This autumn edition promises to be an unforgettable highlight on your running calendar.
For those looking to make a difference beyond personal achievement, there is also an opportunity to raise funds for Alzheimer's Research UK through this event. Every stride contributes not only to individual goals but also towards finding a cure and changing lives.
Registration opens with the option to transfer entries if unforeseen circumstances prevent your participation. ATW welcomes its community of runners on various social media platforms where you can share experiences, seek advice, and connect with fellow athletes.
Join us for an autumn day filled with scenic runs, supportive communities, and memorable finishes at Welwyn Half Marathon and 10k.
