ARC Irene Road Run/Walk - 21 November 2026

The ARC Irene Run/Walk offers runners of all ages an opportunity to explore scenic routes within the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) Irene. This non-ASA race welcomes both club members and newcomers, making it accessible for everyone looking to enjoy a morning run or walk in one of Centurion's most distinctive settings.
Participants can choose from several distances: 3km, 5km, 10km, 15km, and the challenging half marathon at 21km. Early online registration is available with discounts compared to on-the-day entries; for instance, a 3km run costs R80 online but increases by R30 if you register on race day.
The event takes place on November 21, 2026, starting bright and early at 06:30 AM from the Irene Athletics Clubhouse. Registration opens an hour before the start time for those who wish to secure their bibs in advance. The route is marked clearly with water stations along the way, ensuring runners stay hydrated throughout.
The terrain features a mix of paved roads and paths winding through the ARC's lush greenery, providing stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. For participants aged 13 or younger and those over 60 years old, entry fees are reduced to R80 regardless of distance chosen.
After crossing the finish line, runners can enjoy refreshments at the clubhouse while collecting their well-deserved medals. The event also offers ample parking space for easy access. All distances have a cut-off time of 10:30 AM, allowing participants flexibility in starting times between 6:30 and 7:30 AM.
For those who prefer to plan ahead, detailed route maps and elevation profiles are available on the Revolution Trails website under ARC Irene Road option, ensuring runners can prepare for their chosen distance.
