Andada 2026

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps, the Alpine Trail Marathon offers runners an unforgettable journey through some of Europe's most breathtaking scenery. The race starts at dawn from the quaint village of Zermatt and winds its way along narrow paths that snake between towering peaks and lush meadows filled with wildflowers in full bloom during autumn. As participants ascend to higher elevations, they are rewarded with panoramic views of iconic Matterhorn and other majestic mountains.
The course features a challenging mix of steep climbs and technical descents through dense forests and across rocky terrain, testing both endurance and agility. At the halfway point, runners enjoy a respite at a charming alpine hut where local villagers serve up hearty Swiss fare to fuel their journey back down the mountain. The second half of the race sees competitors navigating increasingly varied landscapes, from serene glacial valleys to rugged cliffs overlooking pristine lakes.
As the sun sets behind the peaks on this October day, racers cross the finish line in Zermatt, greeted by cheering crowds and a sense of accomplishment for having conquered one of Europe's most scenic marathon routes.
