On Saturday, November 7th, the Morgan's Sports Complex at 5025 David Edward Drive invites runners to lace up their shoes for an inspiring blend of fitness and community spirit. This year’s race merges patriotism with physical activity by honoring our nation's heroes through a vibrant celebration that includes a 5K run. The event kicks off promptly at 8:30 am, offering participants the chance to connect with friends and family while promoting health and wellness in an inclusive environment. The day is designed not only for runners but also for those who wish to support from the sidelines or explore Morgan’s Wonderland park free of charge after crossing the finish line. Registration is now open at various pricing tiers: $25 until September 11th, increasing to $35 up until packet pickup and reaching a final price of $45 on race day. For younger participants aged 6-18, there's an affordable entry fee of just $5 when accompanied by a paying adult, with the option for additional merchandise purchases. The event welcomes adaptive runners who require special equipment or accommodations at no extra cost. These athletes are encouraged to register in advance and can participate without being chip-timed but still enjoy all festivities and access to Morgan’s Wonderland throughout the day. Race morning packet pickup begins early at 7:30 am, ensuring everyone has their materials before the start time. Participants will also have a chance to explore an extensive resource fair highlighting health initiatives and community programs, making this event more than just a race but a full-day celebration of fitness and camaraderie. Awards are presented for both Non-Adaptive runners and Veterans or Dependents/Spouses of Veterans in various age categories.
