La Terza Cullata di u Capizzolu is a high-mountain trail running event held in the heart of Corsica, within the Venaco region. The Venaco region is located in a granitic high-mountain zone dominated by Monte Cardo, one of the island's iconic peaks rising above 2,400 meters. The terrain is characterized by steep climbs on rocky paths that can be technical and exposed. In early May, mountain weather can be unpredictable; while the valleys begin to warm up with average temperatures of 18°C, residual snow patches (névés) may still be present on the highest sections of Monte Cardo. Organizers reserve the right to modify the routes based on weather forecasts to ensure participant safety.

For the most demanding events, such as "A Cullata" or the 19 km trail, excellent physical condition and familiarity with mountain terrain are essential.
