Sports enthusiasts are invited to the 9th Rika Kirtagslauf on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Adlwang. This race is part of the Traunviertler Laufcup and marks its sixth and final event for the season. The starting line and finish area are centrally located within the scenic Kirtags site, creating an energetic atmosphere that captivates participants from start to finish. The course winds through picturesque surroundings, offering runners a memorable experience as they cross the finish line in front of Adlwang's Bürgerhalle. Competitors can look forward to refreshments such as starters' bags filled with snacks and beverages, including sausages, sandwiches, fruit, and drinks. Post-race amenities include changing rooms and showers at the Sportplatz der Union Adlwang. Top three finishers in each category will receive high-quality prizes, while children's winners will be recognized immediately after their respective races and presented with medals upon crossing the finish line. A ceremony for the main race awards takes place around 13:45 PM, celebrating all successful runners who have participated throughout the day. For those interested in registering or re-entering late, start numbers are available from 9 AM onwards at a tent near the starting area opposite the Bürgerhalle. Late entries on the day of the event can be made up until half an hour before each race but come with a €5 surcharge. Organized by Union HOVA Adlwang (Runner's Club Adlwang) in collaboration with the local community, this event promises to showcase both athletic prowess and communal spirit. Participants are encouraged to park freely at nearby locations around town without any charges. While safety is paramount, it’s important for runners to note that only partial road closures exist along the route; therefore, adherence to traffic regulations remains crucial throughout the race. Any instructions from local authorities should be strictly followed during the event. Photographs taken during this celebration of running may appear in print and online media as part of coverage by organizers. Participants are reminded that while every effort is made for their safety through volunteer assistance with course security and first aid, they do so at their own risk. No liability will be held against the organizer should any incidents occur to runners or spectators. Join us in Adlwang this October for a day filled with camaraderie, beautiful scenery, and competitive spirit as we conclude another successful season of Traunviertler Laufcup events.
