8th Annual Run4Sharks & Ocean Health Fair 5k/1mile Fun Run...Custom medal to all Finishers: Timed 5k !

Come out and get your fitness on with a 5k timed race through the community streets with police marshals and volunteers to assure your safety. Or choose the 1mi fun run for kids 10 and under, or adults can just walk it! 1mi is NOT timed but all kids will receive a shark themed goody bag and their choice of shark socks!  This is a fun community event of ocean awareness and fitness raising funds for Shark Stewards nonprofit's Ocean Academy group at South Jr High in Anaheim.  As well as their online youth education programs. Choose a 5k run with a 9am start. Walk or run it, professionally timed with prizes for top 3 in each age group. 10 under, 11-15, 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66 over. Kids and family 1mi for FUN, walk/run with bubble station, water sprinkler run through, and other fun stuff. Wear an ocean costume and win a prize. Costume winners top 3 boys & girls.

Sponsor a Kid: We want to send a group of kids to CIMI on Catalina Island, a ocean science weekend. Sponsor a kid, any amount and we will pool the funds to make sure a kid runs instead of you, earning his/her spot on the list to go to Catalina.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Anyone signing up for  team after the fourth person gets $5 off current price and the first four people will then automatically get a $5 refund. Can't make it to the event? Choose our Virtual Option and do it in your neighborhood. On site, browse through our booths and learn about ocean health, sharks, and fitness from our sponsors. Located at our Ocean Academy school, South Jr. High 2320 E. South St. Anaheim, CA 92806. This is a fundraising event with an Opportunity drawing supporting Shark Stewards, a fiscally sponsored project of Earth Island Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Shark Stewards works to protect sharks and preserve healthy ocean ecosystems.
