6th Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayors Cup Athletics Meet

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Yeongdeungpo-gu Sports Council invites runners to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Seoul's Sinjeonggyo Bridge track facility. The race offers two distances: a scenic 5 km and an exhilarating 10 km course.
Registration for this event requires a one-time entry fee of KRW 10,000 per participant, which covers access to all amenities on the day. Participants can expect snacks provided at designated stations along both routes as well as water available every kilometer turnaround point throughout the race.
The official opening ceremony begins promptly at 8:30 a.m., followed by a brief warm-up session before the start of the first event, the 10 km race. Rankings for this and subsequent races are determined solely on gun time rather than individual chip times, ensuring an authentic competitive spirit among participants.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance category. However, athletes who have been registered with the Korea Association of Athletics Federations from 2023 through 2026 are not eligible for these awards. This ensures that recognition goes exclusively to local runners.
Participants benefit from on-site changing facilities and baggage storage services during their race day experience. Public transportation is highly recommended due to limited parking availability near the venue, allowing visitors easy access without having to worry about finding a spot nearby.
Event insurance provides participants with one-day coverage for added peace of mind, while an ambulance will be stationed at the track facility throughout the event in case any medical assistance becomes necessary during or after the race.
