On October 31, 2026, the city of Cruz Alta/RS will host the 6th Lutimar Paes Rustic Run, honoring the legendary athlete's contributions to sports and promoting healthy living among residents. The event takes place at the Municipal Gymnasium in Cruz Alta. The program includes races for both students and adults across various distances and age groups. Students can participate in sprints of 200m, 400m, 600m, and 1km starting at 5:00 PM. Adults have the option to run either a 3km or a more challenging 6km race, with start times set for 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM respectively. Entry fees are R$55 for adults, R$20 for students, and also R$20 for PCDs (People with Disabilities). The first 300 participants to register will receive a special kit including a personalized t-shirt, race number, drawstring bag, and water bottle. Registration closes one week before the event or when the maximum of 700 runners is reached. The course is marked clearly throughout its route, which includes two hydration stations along with refreshments at the finish line. The adult races have a time limit of 1 hour and 20 minutes to ensure smooth race management. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the top five male and female participants in both the 3km and 6km categories. In addition, there are age-based awards for adults as well as individual placements from first to fifth place with bike giveaways for students who participate in the lottery draw at the event. Participants must adhere to race regulations, including wearing their official numbers prominently on their shirts upon crossing the finish line; any violations may result in disqualification. Join us for an unforgettable celebration of sportsmanship and community spirit as we pay tribute to Lutimar Paes's legacy while encouraging everyone to stay active and healthy.
