On October 25, 2026, the fifth edition of the Fujian Taomushan Cave Trail Challenge will take place at Taomu Mountain Scenic Area in Fuding City, Fujian Province. This year's race welcomes 1,300 participants across two categories: a competitive 12-kilometer route for 800 runners and an experiential 6.6-kilometer course open to both individuals and families, with space available until full. The 12-kilometer competition starts at the southern gate of Taomu Mountain Scenic Area and finishes at the Square of Husband and Wife Peaks within the park, set for a start time of 8:00 AM on race day. Participants will have four hours to complete this challenging course that winds through natural cave passages and rugged mountain terrain. The shorter 6.6-kilometer route begins from the same finish line at the Square of Husband and Wife Peaks but circles back around, offering a scenic loop designed for both individual runners and families looking for an engaging experience. Starting times are scheduled for 9:00 AM on October 25th, with participants given three hours to complete this more accessible route. As autumn leaves carpet the ground and mist shrouds the peaks of Taomu Mountain, the race promises a blend of natural beauty and physical challenge. The course features towering cliffs, twisting paths through ancient cave systems, and panoramic vistas that stretch out over vast landscapes. Runners will find themselves immersed in an environment where every step is accompanied by awe-inspiring scenery. Beyond athletic competition, this event celebrates exploration and personal growth within the grandeur of Taomu Mountain’s natural wonders. For those traveling from afar, complimentary transportation services will be available on October 25th between 6:00 AM and 7:20 AM at Taomu Mountain Tourism Distribution Center. Post-race shuttles are scheduled for the period of 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, transporting participants back from the Square of Husband and Wife Peaks parking area. Each registered runner will also receive two complimentary tickets to explore Taomu Mountain Scenic Area according to park regulations, allowing them to extend their adventure beyond race day.
