The fifth edition of the Ejin Banner Hu Yang Lin Super Trail Race is set to take place on September 26, 2026, at the Ethnic Unity Square North in Ejina Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia. This scenic race offers a range of distances and challenges for trail runners from across the globe.
Registration opens on August 21st at 10:00 AM local time with early bird pricing available until September 5th. Participants can secure their spot through a first-come-first-served system, as spots are limited to 700 entrants in total.
The race features four distinct categories:
- 60km Ultra Distance: With an actual distance of 59.97 kilometers and a cumulative elevation gain of 243 meters, this challenging course is designed for experienced trail runners looking to test their limits over rugged terrain. The event starts at 8:30 AM on race day with a maximum duration of 12 hours.
- 30km Adventure Run: Covering an actual distance of 27.2 kilometers and featuring a cumulative elevation gain of 112 meters, this category is suited for runners seeking both scenic beauty and moderate challenge over hilly terrain. The start time coincides with the ultra race at 8:30 AM on September 26th, offering participants eight hours to complete their journey.
- 12km Fun Run: Ideal for those who want a taste of trail running without the full commitment, this category spans an actual distance of 12.6 kilometers over flat terrain and offers a relaxed four-hour time limit from its start at 8:30 AM on race day.
- 5km Youth Race (for ages under 14): A special event for young runners eager to experience trail running, this category covers an actual distance of five kilometers with no elevation gain. The youth run begins alongside the main races at 8:30 AM and features a two-hour time limit.
Each race offers unique opportunities to explore the stunning landscapes around Ejina Banner, including its renowned Hu Yang Lin forest park known for its picturesque scenery and rich biodiversity. Runners will traverse diverse terrain, from sandy trails through vast deserts to paths lined with towering poplar trees.
