5ª ALVO RUNNING

On October 31, 2026, the vibrant city of Marília/SP will host a unique and socially conscious race that combines athletic competition with community support. The event, which was rescheduled to ensure safety according to local authorities' guidelines, features races over distances ranging from 5 km to 10 km, along with a family-friendly walk and cãominhada (dog-walk) for all ages.
Participants will gather at the Igreja Alvo Lugar de Vida on Av. das Esmeraldas, where the race begins and concludes. The course winds through Marília's scenic streets, offering runners an opportunity to enjoy the city’s rich cultural heritage while supporting a worthy cause. All proceeds from this event are dedicated towards funding free sports classes for children and aiding in the construction of a new church facility.
The day kicks off with kids’ races at 4:00 PM, followed by the general race start for all categories including those with disabilities (PcD) at 5:00 PM. A family walk begins shortly after at 5:02 PM and the cãominhada follows suit at 5:05 PM. Organizers recommend arriving one hour early to secure parking in nearby streets, as parking directly in front of the church is prohibited.
The race promises a supportive atmosphere with clear instructions for participants to complete their courses well before sunset, ensuring everyone's safety and enjoyment. After crossing the finish line, runners can look forward to an awards ceremony starting at 6:40 PM, followed by festivities until around 8:00 PM.
This event not only encourages physical fitness but also raises funds through a milk collection drive for less fortunate families in Marília. With distances suitable for all levels and age groups, the race is set to be both challenging and rewarding.
