5:30am - Uloha Kailua 1/2 Marathon and 5K

Embark on an invigorating journey through the picturesque landscapes of Kailua and Lanikai with the Uloha Kailua Half Marathon, part of the renowned Marathon Series. This scenic race offers runners a unique blend of natural beauty and challenging terrain as it winds around Mokapu Peninsula and along Kaneohe Bay Drive.
In previous years, logistical challenges led to last-minute changes in course direction, causing some confusion at the start line. However, this year's organizers have worked closely with local event planners and city officials to ensure a seamless experience for all participants. The race will begin on the northeast side of Uloha Park behind Kalapawai Market, providing ample space for late registration and packet pickup from October 2nd through October 3rd.
Enhancements for this year include upgraded custom tech shirts designed specifically for the first 500 entrants, as well as a variety of additional facilities such as extra porta potties placed strategically throughout the start area. These improvements aim to provide runners with comfort and convenience during their race day experience.
The half marathon kicks off at dawn on October 4th at 5:30 AM, followed by the 5K starting shortly after at 6:30 AM. Both races offer breathtaking views of Kaneohe Bay and its surrounding greenery, making for a memorable running experience that highlights Hawaii’s natural beauty.
Awards are given to top finishers in both male and female categories across all age groups, with overall winners receiving special recognition. All participants can look forward to crossing the finish line and being presented with custom-designed medals as tokens of their achievement.
