About the Event

Based at Sendaigawa Ozoji Mirai Park, this ride circles the broad mouth of the Sendai River. Aid stations serve local specialties, and a food-truck coupon is available at the finish. Three routes are on offer: Course A, a loop of about 100 km with roughly 1,500 m of climbing via the Kawasatsu Green Road, Tsuruda Dam and Kedoin (with a student discount); Course B, the Satsuma Relaxed Highway ride of about 46 km and 350 m of climbing; and Course C, a 33 km shrine pilgrimage to Fujikawa Tenjin with 70 m of climbing and an ema votive plaque. Riders can also meet professional cyclists, and the organizers use the occasion to promote the five rules of safe cycling. Sendai Station, on the Kyushu Shinkansen and the Hisatsu Orange Railway, is ten minutes by bike from the venue.
