As the winter season approaches, the Iko Dam Chimei Lake area transforms into a picturesque setting for runners of all ages and abilities. This scenic location offers breathtaking mountain views as participants enjoy running along its serene trails.
The event features three distance options: 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and a shorter 3-kilometer route designed specifically for younger athletes. The longer distances wind through varied terrain that showcases the changing landscape of the area during this transitional season.
Registration fees vary by age group and distance:
- For adults participating in either the 10km or 5km races, the cost is ¥3,500.
- High school students can join for a reduced rate of ¥2,500 at both distances.
- The shorter 3-kilometer route costs ¥2,000 for high school and above participants, while younger runners (middle and elementary school) pay ¥1,500.
- A special pair entry option is available for ¥2,000.
Participants can look forward to a day filled with fresh air, stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and an opportunity to enjoy one of Japan's most beautiful lakes as it prepares for winter.
