Running enthusiasts are invited to Ercé for an evening filled with diverse races and activities, all set against the backdrop of picturesque landscapes. The day kicks off at 6 PM with free children's events from baby athletics to minimes, emphasizing fun over competition. The main event begins at 7 PM with a stunning 21-kilometer course that winds through Ercé’s countryside near Liffré. This challenging route features a river crossing by ford in the Illet Valley and takes runners through Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier Forest before returning to town. The trail is designed for experienced athletes looking to test their endurance on varied terrain. For those seeking something more relaxed, at 7:30 PM there's a convivial and accessible 12-kilometer race with just under 100 meters of elevation gain. This course offers an easygoing experience through the charming countryside around Ercé. At 7:45 PM, newcomers can join in on a trail discovery run covering 6 kilometers with about 33 meters of ascent. Open to participants born from 2009 onwards, this race is perfect for young runners eager to explore their surroundings and enjoy nature at a comfortable pace. Simultaneously, there's also the option for those who prefer walking over running—a solidarity walk that spans 5 kilometers through Ercé’s paths. This event supports the AFA (Association François Aupetit), which fights against inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, with every registration contributing to this cause. All participants will receive a token of appreciation as recognition for their efforts. Additionally, there is an award given to the club or association that has the highest representation across all adult races—the Constant Sireuil Trophy—honoring sportsmanship and community involvement in athletics. Registration closes online at 8 PM on July 12th; however, no registrations will be accepted on-site during the event. A highlight for training enthusiasts is OTTRA COACHING’s new offering of tailored plans to prepare participants for their chosen race distance. This unique evening combines competitive spirit with community support and scenic beauty, making it a must-attend event for runners and walkers alike who are looking for an engaging experience in nature.
