40th Real Florida 5K/10K

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Wekiwa Springs State Park for the 40th Annual Real Florida 5K/10K Cross Country Run on February 20, 2027. This unique race is the only one in the area to offer an entirely off-road experience through picturesque trails winding around scenic springs and lush forests. Participants will not only enjoy breathtaking views but also contribute to a good cause as proceeds benefit the Wekiva Wilderness Trust.
The event kicks off with the 10K run at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K race starting at 8:45 AM. A coffee food truck from Artesano Coffee will be on site for runners and spectators to enjoy light refreshments before, during, and after the races. Every finisher receives a medal and commemorative t-shirt, while top male and female winners in both distances are awarded prizes along with age group champions.
Lindsey Sablan from WESH/CW18 will emcee this vibrant event, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day's activities. Race registration is capped at 350 runners, so secure your spot early for a guaranteed entry and avoid long park lines on race morning by arriving before 7:00 AM.
For those unable to join in person, virtual options are available from February 1 through February 25, allowing participants to run their chosen distance anytime and anywhere. Use the ItsYourRace mobile app or another GPS tracking tool of your choice to log your time and upload results online for a personalized race experience.
