About the Event
Never-Bike-Alone MTB Race: A Ride Through the Heart of Veitenstein Join us for an exhilarating mountain biking experience at the Never-Bike-Alone MTB Race, part of the Cube Cup series on September 20, 2026. This event promises to be a thrilling challenge for all levels of cyclists, from young riders just starting out to seasoned professionals. The race takes place in Veitenstein and is organized by Veitensteinbiker, led by Michael Floßmann as the chief organizer and Dittmar Hollub as the referee. All male and female mountain bikers are welcome to participate in this event provided they have a technically sound, unmotorized bike and an approved helmet. Gloves are recommended but not mandatory, and all sizes of bikes are permitted. Throughout the training sessions and race day, it is strictly required that all participants wear helmets at all times. Registration closes on September 16, 2025, by midnight. Entry fees vary based on age categories: €8 for U7-U9 riders, €10 for those in the U11-U15 category, and €12 for racers aged U17 and above. Prizes include trophies for first through third place finishers in each age group, with a special Cube prize awarded to the winner of the U11 division. The race features various distances depending on your level: - Junior Races: These events cater to younger riders starting around 10:00 AM and conclude by early afternoon. The courses range from short two-kilometer loops for beginners up to three large rounds totaling over 42 kilometers, designed primarily for more experienced young cyclists. - Senior Race: For older participants aged U17 upwards, the race begins at approximately 14:30 PM with a grueling 60-minute ride on the largest circuit. This course is particularly challenging and offers an intense test of endurance and skill over hilly terrain that includes rough trails, fields, and meadows. The day will also feature team relay races starting around midday for additional excitement and camaraderie among participants. Participants should arrive at DJK Priegendorf's Winkelgasse 1 in Baunach to register between 8:30 AM and the start of each race. Parking is available on-site near the sports grounds, and changing facilities are provided within the DJK Sportheim building for those who need them. The course itself winds through scenic paths with varying elevations that will challenge riders' technical skills as well as their physical prowess.
