About the Event

Experience the rich tradition of East Texas at the 36th Annual Beauty and the Beast Bicycle Tour and Race on October 9-10, 2026. This beloved cycling event returns to Tyler and Whitehouse, celebrating its storied history while embracing a more inclusive approach.
The two-day adventure begins in Tyler with packet pickup from 5 pm onwards at the East Texas Community Center. Participants can register onsite or pre-register for early bird pricing. The evening kicks off with a Time Trial Race starting at 6:30 pm, followed by a lively Packet Pickup party to get you geared up.
On Saturday, the race commences in Whitehouse where registration and packet pickup are available from 6:45 am. Cyclists can choose between three routes—The Ultimate Beast (65 miles), The Beast (45 miles), or The Beauty (25 miles). Each route offers breathtaking views of East Texas' natural beauty, challenging terrain, and scenic landscapes.
As you pedal through Tyler and Whitehouse, enjoy well-marked courses with stocked aid stations offering refreshments. Post-race celebrations await at the finish line meal in Tyler, featuring local cuisine and live entertainment to cap off your journey.
For younger riders, the event includes a Kids Cup on Saturday evening at Millennium Plaza in Tyler, complete with post-ride dinner, awards, and an athlete giveaway party. Register early for special pricing packages starting from $80, including exclusive items like race stickers, free downloadable photos, and more.
Join us as we support local cycling infrastructure and youth programs through this community-focused event.
