We are dedicating this year’s race to Tom Crowley (Race Founder) who passed in December.
Course:
The 10k course starts near the STOP sign at the Bus Garage - Head parallel to School road around the football field until you get to the top of Schuyler Street. At intersection of Schuyler St. and Boone St. - you will make a left hand turn. Go around Boone St. to the intersection of Boone and Summit. Cross Summit and continue down Erwin until intersection of Erwin and Post (stay on sidewalk). Go left onto Post St. At intersection of Post and West - go left onto West St. Continue on West St for 2.1 miles, to Miller Road - go left onto Miller Rd Continue on Miller Rd. For 1 mile to the intersection of Miller and Lewis Rd. - Go left onto Lewis Rd Continue on Lewis Rd. For 1.5 miles to intersection of Lewis and NYS Rt 294 - go left onto NYS Rte 294 (run along shoulder). Proceed back to the entrance of Adirondack High School on the left. The Woodsmen's Walk will start from the high school bus garage. Fun Run for children 12 and under to be held at the high school track during the 10k race.
Timing and Results by Leone Timing
STARTING TIME:
The 10k will start at 6 pm sharp. The Woodsmen's Walk will begin immediately after runners depart onto the 10k course. Officials of the Woodsmen's 10k Foot Race and/or the NYS Woodsmen's Field Days, Inc. reserve the right to delay and/or cancel the Woodsmen's 10k Foot Race and Walk in the event that the weather becomes dangerous and/or inclement for running and walking. No previous notification will be necessary.
Registration and Entry Fee:
10K Race: $25.00 before June 14; $30.00 through August 14, and $35 on race day. The Woodsmen's Walk is a flat fee of $10.00.
Packet Pickup: Race packet pickup from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Adirondack Senior High on race day. No registrations accepted after 5:30 p.m.
Awards will be given to the first 150 10K pre-registrants. Walkers will receive a ‘commemorative souvenir’ and fun run participants will receive a ‘special treat.’
Register before July 24 to guaranteed a race shirt. Registrations after July 24 are subject to availability.
Awards/Awards Ceremony: Top overall male and female finishers as well as the first three (3) finishers in each age group.
