About the Event

The 30th Annual Race with Your Heart takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 7:30 AM CDT at Eureka Upper Lake Park (Lake Road, Eureka, Illinois). This event offers a 5K, 10K, and 1.5 Mile Walk around Eureka Lake, with a course that goes through woodlands, local subdivisions, and features a couple of significant hills ascending the dam.

Start: 7:30 AM • Challenging, competitive courses • Mostly flat with dam hills

1.5 Mile Walk (Untimed)
Start: 7:45 AM • Leisurely walk on flat surface around Eureka Lake

Kids Fun Run (Untimed)

Event Logistics & Participant Information:

Friday Packet Pickup (June 12): 6:00-7:00 PM at Heart House, 300 Reagan Dr, Eureka.
Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup (June 13): 6:15-7:30 AM at Eureka Lake Pavilion.
Location: Eureka Lake Pavilion near intersection of Lake Road and Eastview Circle, Eureka, Illinois.
After Party: Begins at 8:30 AM with FREE pancake and sausage breakfast.
Raffles: Available for participants and spectators.
Kids 10 & Under: FREE registration for all distances. T-shirts available for purchase (until May 13).
Group Rate: Register 4 people for the price of 3 (kids 10 & under not included). Discount automatically applied in cart.

5K & 10K Overall Awards: Top 1 male and top 1 female (gun time).
Weight Class Awards (Gun Time): Top 3 Clydesdales (200-219 lbs), Top 3 Super Clydesdales (220+ lbs), Top 3 Athenas (145-159 lbs), Top 3 Super Athenas (160+ lbs).
Age Group Awards (Gun Time): Top 3 males and top 3 females in categories: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.
Beneficiary: Woodford County Heartline and Heart House. Fundraising goal: $1,000. 41% raised ($410+).
Mission Support: Heartline and Heart House provides community health services. "Everyone goes home a winner because it supports the Heartline and Heart House mission."
Post-Race Celebration: Family-friendly with FREE pancake and sausage breakfast, raffles, and cheering section.
Scenic Setting: Beautiful course through woodlands along Eureka Lake and local subdivisions.
30th Annual Event: A long-standing Eureka tradition.
Inclusive: Walkers, runners, competitive athletes, families, and kids all welcome.

About Eureka

Eureka is a city in Humboldt County, California. With a population of slightly over 25,000, it is the largest coastal city on the West Coast of the United States north of San Francisco and south of Portland and the center of the California North Coast.
