Nestled within the heart of a charming village, this race celebrates local traditions and community spirit during the annual festival season. Participants will start from the town hall and make their way through picturesque countryside paths leading to a residential area behind the village fairgrounds.
The route then takes runners down a well-known rural path affectionately called "the slaughterhouse," offering a glimpse into the rustic charm of the region. Continuing north, they’ll traverse another winding lane known as Penanguer before circling back towards the heart of the village after completing three-quarters of an encircling run around the local football field.
Approximately two-thirds of the course winds through tranquil rural roads while one-third follows scenic trails and paths. Throughout the race, runners will pass through the bustling center of town multiple times where they can enjoy the festive atmosphere complete with a fairground, refreshment stands, bars, grocery stores, and tobacco shops.
This unique loop offers an immersive experience that blends natural beauty with community celebration in rural France. At the finish line, there is a raffle draw for participants to look forward to. Additionally, showers are available for runners looking to freshen up post-race.
For those interested, pacemakers will be present with appropriate waivers signed upon bib collection. It's recommended that all competitors have medical clearance and proof of authorization from parents or guardians if under 16 years old at the time of registration. The race is open to participants aged sixteen and older starting in October when online sign-ups become available.
