22nd Bukgu Love Marathon

The 22nd Bukgu Love Marathon invites runners to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Daegu's Buk-gu through two engaging race options: a scenic 10 km short marathon and a more accessible 5 km health run. Set along the Kumho River Sangeok Campsite, this event celebrates community unity and public health while offering participants an enjoyable running environment.
The 10 km route begins at 9:00 AM from Kumho River Sangeok Campsite and winds through picturesque river paths under bridges such as Kumho 1 Bridge and Kumho 2 Bridge. Runners will pass by the soccer field, baseball field, and near Aprojung before retracing their steps along a similar path back to the starting point. This course is divided into four categories: men's and women’s youth and senior divisions.
For those looking for a shorter but equally rewarding experience, the 5 km health run starts at two waves—09:05 AM and 09:10 AM—and follows a route that takes runners near Sangeok Bridge and under Mutae Bridge and Chimsan Bridge. The course offers stunning views of the Kumho River and its surroundings.
Participants in both races will receive T-shirts, bib numbers, finisher medals, and souvenirs. Bibs and shirts are mailed out 5 to 7 days before race day, ensuring runners have their gear well ahead of time for a stress-free experience on October 18th.
The event includes pre-race entertainment, an opening ceremony, a thorough briefing session, the races themselves, followed by an awards ceremony and prize drawing. This comprehensive program ensures that participants enjoy not just the run but also the rich cultural offerings and community spirit unique to Buk-gu’s Love Marathon.
