2027 The Trail Running Film Festival

The Trail Running Film Festival returns to Hawthorne Park's community center on April 24, 2027, offering film enthusiasts an evening of captivating stories from the trail running world. Doors open at 4:30 PM Central Time, allowing ample time for attendees to explore local sponsor tables and enjoy snacks and Deathwish coffee before settling in with pizza starting at 7:00 PM. The festival features global advertiser spots beginning at 5:30 PM, followed by a carefully curated selection of films that celebrate the spirit and adventure of trail running.
The first half of the film fest showcases three engaging movies lasting approximately one hour, after which attendees can take an intermission to grab more refreshments from the pizza station or explore sponsor booths. A raffle will also be held during this break. The second half continues with another set of three films that run for about 55 minutes, concluding around 8:30 PM.
This event is part of Crazy Legs Race Series (CLRS), which aims to promote non-pavement and pavement races in Northwest Indiana through the development and management of new and existing events. At all CLRS gatherings, participants can expect a fun yet challenging course design within a relaxed atmosphere, typically held in parks or areas across Lake, Porter, and Laporte counties.
