The Tengger Trail Race offers runners an unparalleled adventure through the vast and majestic expanse of China's Tengger Desert. Located just outside Zhongwei, Ningxia, this race is inspired by Tang-dynasty frontier poetry, with three distinct distances named after famous lines from these ancient works.
As participants traverse the rolling dunes, they'll experience a unique blend of endurance and beauty rarely found in modern trail races. The terrain challenges runners to navigate soft sand and steep inclines while offering panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see. Each distance is designed not only for athletic competition but also for cultural immersion.
