2026 Windham Woods School Thankful Trails 5K Run & Walk

Join the vibrant Windham Woods community for their 3rd annual Thankful Trails 5K Walk & Run, set amidst picturesque trails and open fields. This family-friendly race offers both a 5K walk/run through scenic paths and a Kids Fun Run across the Lower Field, perfect for young participants.
The event kicks off with a raffle opening at 8:45 am on race day. Participants will find their bibs and shirts located near the blacktop area up the hill behind Windham Woods School (WWS). The kids' fun run begins promptly at 9:15 am, while runners of all abilities can start the main 5K walk/run course at 10 am.
Windham Woods prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable. The route features two loops through the school's trails; however, please note that some sections may be thin and uneven, making them unsuitable for strollers.
If you prefer to bring your furry friend along, kindly leave pets at home during the race as they are not allowed on-site.
Shirt sizes can be guaranteed if registered by October 15th. For those registering later, shirt sizes will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. A raffle ticket is included with each registration and additional tickets may also be purchased.
The event timeline includes a closing of the raffle at 11:15 am, followed by an awards ceremony at noon to celebrate top performers in various categories. Post-race festivities continue until lunchtime, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
Windham Woods is also seeking volunteers for this year's event. Opportunities are available and interested individuals can sign up online.
