On November 8, 2026, runners will gather at the Dangjian Square (Wenhua Square) in Sanquanwang Village of Suqian Town, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City for an exciting day of trail running. The UTO First Hundred Trail Training Race offers three distinct courses to cater to various skill levels and endurance goals: the Xiaohu Group with a 6km course, the Buniu Group covering 10km, and the Qianlong Group stretching over 20km.
The event kicks off at 7:30 AM in the heart of Sanquanwang Village, known for its picturesque landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The Xiaohu group will start their race just ten minutes later at 7:50 AM, while runners opting for longer distances have a bit more time to prepare; the Buniu Group starts at 7:40 AM followed by the Qianlong Group's departure at 7:30 AM.
Each course offers unique challenges and scenic beauty. The Xiaohu route, despite being relatively short at just over six kilometers, includes significant elevation gain with a total climb of 310 meters, finishing up at 10:20 AM after two hours and thirty minutes on the trails. Meanwhile, the Buniu course extends to nearly ten kilometers, featuring an impressive cumulative ascent of 574 meters, concluding by noon as runners reach their four-hour mark.
The most ambitious route is reserved for those tackling the Qianlong Group's twenty-kilometer challenge. This longer race covers a distance slightly over nineteen kilometers with more than eleven hundred meters in elevation gain and stretches out to six hours before the final runner crosses the finish line at 13:30 PM.
Sanquanwang Village, recognized as one of Zhejiang Province’s Future Villages and AAA-rated scenic spots, boasts numerous attractions such as ancient springs, millennium-old trees, and iconic landmarks like glass walkways and heart-shaped observation decks. The surrounding landscape is a blend of lush bamboo forests and rolling tea plantations, providing an enriching backdrop for runners to explore.
The race coincides with the village’s traditional Dongzhi festival celebrations, allowing participants to experience local customs beyond their physical challenges on the trails. This unique combination ensures that runners not only test their limits but also immerse themselves in a vibrant cultural setting.
Runners are encouraged to sign up early as spots will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis until all slots are filled.
