The 2026 Summit Kidz Challenge is set to take place on October 6th at the Changbai Mountain International Resort, offering young athletes an exciting day of adventure and competition amidst stunning natural scenery. The race features several age-specific categories designed for different levels of experience and physical ability. For younger participants aged 4-7 years old, there's the Leopard group where parents are welcome to accompany their children throughout the course. This approximately 3-kilometer route includes 18 obstacles and a time limit of 60 minutes. Older kids in the Falcon category (ages 8-10) will tackle an independent race covering around 4 kilometers with 22 challenges, given 75 minutes to complete. The Lightning group is aimed at more seasoned young athletes aged 11-14 years old who must navigate a course of about 5 kilometers filled with 26 obstacles within the time frame of 90 minutes. For those seeking a competitive edge in their age brackets, there are also Elite categories: U8 (for ages 9 and 10), U10 (ages 9 to 10), U12 (ages 11 and 12), and U14 (ages 13 and 14). These races feature the same distances as their non-elite counterparts but with shorter time limits, ranging from 50 minutes for the most advanced group down to 60 minutes. Each Elite category offers separate rankings for boys and girls, fostering fair competition across genders. The event's dual-track system includes both an Open Experience Group focused on personal growth through participation without ranking pressures, and a Competitive Elite Track that features an advancement point system connecting local champions with national competitions and international exchanges. Registration is available on a first-come-first-served basis until capacity is reached. Early bird discounts are offered to those who sign up by September 14th.
