This iconic race invites solo swimmers and teams alike to challenge themselves against the pristine waters off Magnetic Island.
The journey begins at picturesque Picnic Bay on Magnetic Island, where crystal-clear turquoise waters set a serene backdrop for the start of your adventure. Swimmers are guided by dedicated paddlers as they navigate an 8-kilometer course through the ocean towards Townsville’s shoreline. The race concludes directly in front of Strand Park, offering breathtaking views and a grand finish line celebration.
For those who prefer to share their journey with teammates, entries for teams of two or four are also available. Whether you're swimming solo or as part of a team, this event promises an unforgettable experience amidst the natural beauty of North Queensland’s coastline.
