The "Retrace the Long March" virtual marathon, organized by Run Together for All, invites runners to commemorate and honor history through running. The event spans from August 27 at 08:00 to September 7 at 12:00 in 2026, offering participants a flexible schedule to complete their chosen distance.
Competitors can choose between several distances including the accessible 3km, 5km and 10km options as well as more challenging half marathon (21.0975km) and full marathon (42.195km). The registration fee for a medal is set at 39 yuan.
Participants are encouraged to run in their preferred location—whether it’s a park, track, street, or even on a treadmill—and can complete the required distance within the event period without any time constraints. Once runners have completed their chosen mileage using any running app or watch, they must upload their results via the official WeChat public account "Run Together for All" under the menu option "Results Upload".
Medals will be shipped to participants across China free of charge—including remote areas and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan—within 15 working days after September 7 at 12:00. Each medal can have customized engraving on its back; runners may specify up to eight characters for the first line during their result submission process, while the second line will automatically display the completed distance.

Once the race is over, no changes can be made and medals are non-refundable unless there's a quality issue reported within 60 days of receipt.
