The 44th edition of the Voyage Trail Training Race, set to take place on September 19 at Dajue Temple Parking Lot near Beijing, offers participants an exhilarating journey through scenic landscapes and challenging terrain. This ITRA/UTMB qualifying event features a variety of race categories designed for runners of all ages.
The adult category spans 14 kilometers, traversing rugged paths from Dajue Temple to Beijian Peak with stunning views along the way. The route includes significant elevation gain, making it an ideal test for seasoned trail runners looking to sharpen their skills before more demanding races like UTMB or ITRA events.
For younger participants, two age-specific categories are available: a 14-kilometer race and an 8-kilometer run, both tailored for children aged between 6 and 15 years old. These shorter distances still offer the thrill of trail running while ensuring safety with adult supervision required.
Adding to the excitement is a vertical speed climbing competition within the event schedule. This challenging segment covers just over five kilometers but features an impressive elevation gain of 1,100 meters from Dajue Temple up to Beijian Peak. The fastest male and female climbers will be awarded "Beijian Speed Climbing Champion" certificates.
All participants have a chance to earn ITRA points through this event; the vertical speed climbing segment alone has been specially approved for separate ITRA scoring, making it one of the shortest distance categories eligible under the system. This unique opportunity allows runners to potentially improve their overall ITRA performance score in just one race.
